My name is Stephen Bruce, I’m a New Jersey-based illustrator with a deep interest in storytelling through character design.  I graduated with a B.F.A in Graphic Design and a minor in Fine Arts and Art History from the Corcoran School of Arts and Design at the George Washington University Much of my inspiration comes from various works in the animation and entertainment industry, such as Disney and Cartoon Network, and how conceptual work often requires creative thinking and application. I can never leave an idea in his head—I have to put it down to paper because any idea is not something to let pass by. Whenever I obtain a new sketchbook I will fill it with as many characters, illustrations, and stories I want to share. 

Recently I have worked on freelance projects for start-up animations such as The Few Not Flying, as well as teaching other young illustrators about the craft. I would eventually like to produce my own project as a show runner at a major production studio such as Netflix and HBO Max. A lover of dogs both big and small, dramatic clothing, and theatrical arts, Stephen expresses the qualities of being a bohemian artist strongly. However, the one thing I value most of all is seeing my work encourage others like the artists that have inspired me.
